We are used to working with all kinds of bottles and, with more than 30 years’ experience of filling and packing for the agrochemical and general chemical industries, are well placed to be able to advise you on what’s most suited to your product.
For instance, the nature of your product may determine whether it is best in a glass, polythene, PET, PVC or co-extruded polymer bottle and, if in a plastic bottle, whether it needs to be pigmented, natural or fluorine coated to prevent its contents from permeating through.
Equally, how you envisage your consumer using it could determine other factors like its size, shape, the style of its neck and whether it should have a handle. How are you going to ship and store it? Should it be stackable or packed in boxes?
Then there’s whether it is certified and tested to UN standards to consider in addition to any special customisation that you might like in the way of plugs and caps to match or the addition of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for ease of product identification and tracking purposes.
This may seem like a lot of factors to take into consideration about a bottle but the way your product is presented says a lot about it and about you.
Sometimes a stock bottle is readily available; if not you may need to compromise, talk nicely to the bottle manufacturer who may be willing – at a price – to modify the mould to accommodate the desired neck or cap.
If those are not satisfactory options then designing what you want from scratch could be. We can work with you to create a bespoke bottle incorporating whatever you need in the way of caps, multi-dosing mechanisms, handles or special label panels. A unique bottle mould can be commissioned but, bear in mind, the cost is determined by the level of sophistication required in the moulding process and lead times could also be a limiting factor.
