Congratulations to Robbie Robinson on Completing His Level 3 Apprenticeship

We’re pleased to congratulate Robbie Robinson on successfully completing his Level 3 Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship (Electromechanical Technician) with HETA (Humberside Engineering Training Association).

Robbie joined Grotech Production in April 2025 as part of our engineering team. Living locally near Goole, he brought previous experience from the food processing sector and has developed that further through structured apprenticeship training combined with practical, hands-on experience at Grotech.

Working alongside colleagues across our engineering and production operations, Robbie has gained exposure to the day-to-day realities of a live manufacturing environment. His qualification reflects the blend of technical knowledge and practical competence required to operate safely and effectively within the sector.

His certificate was presented by our Chairman, Martin Usher, marking an important milestone in the completion of his apprenticeship programme.

Investing in Skills for the Future

At Grotech Production, we see apprenticeships as more than a qualification pathway. They are a practical way to develop capability within the business and to support the wider engineering and manufacturing workforce.

Manufacturing relies on skilled people who understand both theory and real-world application. Apprenticeships allow that knowledge to develop in a structured way, combining classroom learning with experience gained on site. This helps strengthen operational resilience, reinforce safe working practices, and build long-term technical competence.

Supporting apprenticeships also reflects our commitment to developing local talent and contributing to the skills base within our region. As a business operating in a technical manufacturing environment, maintaining strong engineering capability is essential – and structured training plays a key role in that.

Well done Robbie – a fantastic achievement!
