THE pandemic has been an opportunity for many to invest in home improvements and it’s been no different at Grotech Production Ltd.
In recent years we have slowly sorted and cleared out our expansion room (think domestic garage or loft!), saying goodbye to old files, labels, electrical equipment and furniture. By 2021 we were left with a nearly empty space and the question of what to do with it.
MD, Martin Usher explained: “The business has grown considerably in recent years but gradually, over a 10-year period, our office-based team has at least doubled, requiring more office, meeting and training space.”
It was decided to use the expansion room to provide just that. Partition walls went up to create new rooms with lots of glass windows to make the most of natural light. With the installation of electrical and phone lines, plus flooring and doors, within a few months the transformation was complete.
“We’re delighted with the new office facilities. At a time when we still need to be mindful of Covid and not overcrowding each other, they’ve made it easier to comply with guidelines as well as providing a pleasant space to work in,” said Martin.
“The additional space also means we are ideally placed to meet the company’s growing requirements – whatever the next 10 years might have in store!”
