Liquid Blending

Gardeners in the UK

IF the last 12 months have taught us anything it is how just getting outdoors can have a huge boost on our personal welfare.

This is something that is being recognised this year by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) during National Gardening Week (April 26-May 2). Started in 2012, National Gardening Week sees thousands of people sharing their love of gardening, traditionally hosting events around the country, and sharing their triumphs on social media. It is the biggest celebration of gardening and raises awareness of the difference gardens and gardening can make to our lives.

The theme this year celebrates the feel-good power of plants and gardens, highlighting the scientific links between gardening and how getting a daily dose of the great outdoors improves our sense of personal wellbeing.

As bespoke contract manufacturers and packers to the horti-chem sector, Grotech Production Ltd is well aware of the benefits that connecting with nature can deliver and plays a key role in supporting gardeners in the UK with its liquid blending services producing a range of fertilising, pesticidal and growth enhancing products.

One such popular brand of plant growth stimulant that we have been producing for a while contains pure seaweed extract or a mix of seaweed and other helpful aids to plant growth. Used in the Spring as well as later in the Summer to counter heat stress, this mainly liquid product produces healthier and more robust plants. It also has environmental benefits as unlike some growth enhancers, seaweed extract products don’t have problems associated with nitrogen run off.

On sale online and in garden centres countrywide, seaweed-based products are widely used not only in household gardens but by horticultural growers, in amenity areas, orchards and golf courses.

At Grotech we have the know-how and technology needed to blend the various nutrients and chemicals which make up the formulation recipe into a liquid product and then fill it into the final packs. Due to the nature of the seaweed extract, it is essential to ensure it is dissolved in such a way that the sugars within are not consumed by bacterial contamination. This can result in a fermentation process that can cause the bottle to swell.

Do you have a product that requires expert liquid blending and specialist knowledge to overcome any potential manufacturing or packaging pitfalls? If so, give us a call on 01405 761746 or contact us here.
